Welcome! We're so glad you decided to join this social network! Teachers and learners will find a wealth of resources and have the opportunity to share best practices for teaching students to effectively read, write, listen, speak, and think! This site was created so that literacy leaders around the world can:
- share research, resources, and ideas
- discuss current issues in literacy education
- improve literacy teaching and learning
About the Authors: This website was designed by Tamara Konrade a former Literacy Specialist from ESSDACK and Kristi Orcutt, a Literacy Specialists at ESSDACK (Educational Services and Staff Development Association of Central Kansas). Kelly Hartshorn, Literacy Specialist, has joined the team.
It includes resources and ideas shared by literacy leaders across Kansas and the U.S. New resources to support effective literacy practices continue to be added regularly.
